Today we took a break from our active adventures to leave Sedona, Which energized our bodies, mind's and souls, through the red rock formations and the Spiritual vortexes. From this leg of our trip we leave behind our spirit animal, the "spider" that we met on our hiking path. The spider animal totem represents the Web that connects our friendship, captures opportunities and our personal power.

After breakfast we head out on the road to Flagstaff, Arizona. Flagstaff is known as the entrance to the Southern rim of the Grand Canyon and the gateway to the San Francisco peaks which is the highest mountain range in Arizona.
In Flagstaff we went to the historic downtown area for some retail therapy and to take in the clear blue skies and the mid 70 temperatures. Perfection!!
Our lunch stop today was in Flagstaff at the Lumber Yard Brewery, where we had some local libations, great food, and BANANA PUDDING!!! YUM!!

After lunch, we drove the infamous route 66 to our final destination where we were greeted with breath taking, and I truly mean breathtaking, views of the Grand Canyon.
Once we were into the park a little ways we ran into our spirit animal for the 2nd leg of our trip, the "Elk". The elks animal totem reveals your stamina, it guides and protect you and reminds you of the importance of being noble and gentle.

We then arrived at El tovar, our hotel and home for the next 3 nights.

Once we got settled, we went for a walk around the rim of the Canyon for some stargazing. The Canyon is so dark at night that the stars literally light up the sky.

A couple of us are even asking ourselves if we saw a UFO. It was a very long, white line, hovering over the Canyon. When I went to get a picture, it disappeared I may be crazy or maybe I'm not. You decide!!
Our day of travel was much lighter than our past days, but the 1st time you see the Grand Canyon is a moment in your life that you will never forget!!! It was the perfect day for rest and relaxation and now we are ready to start our next adventure in the morning.

The grand canyon is on my bucket list. I love looking at the stars away from city lights.
