Checking out the South Rim

Day started with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we put on our hiking shoes and hiked the bright angel trail.

While on the trail we saw a baby mountain goat and it’s momma. As we continued on the trail we came across the biggest fattest squirrel ever and it just sat there and watched us.

On our trip back we met up with Daddy mountain goat as he sat up on a small hill watching over mom and baby.

Once we finished we went on the upper rim trail, some went a little further than the rest of us. Once we finished we rewarded ourselves with a yummy hot dog lunch on the porch of the hotel.

After lunch some of us took a break, the rest visited the gift shops.

Before dinner we had pre dinner cocktails, then had dinner at the hotel.
